The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, Mr. Mark Okoye says the State is ready to host the world in the Maiden edition of Anambra Investment Summit.

 

Mr. Okoye during a Press briefing, disclosed the level of preparedness for the Summit scheduled to hold tomorrow, at the Anambra International Convention Centre in Awka.

Mr. Okoye noted that over four hundred guests ranging from Deposit Finance Institutions, to Organized private sector, manufacturers association, over sixty diasporas, AFREXIM Bank, World Bank, ambassadors from certain countries among others, are expected to attend the event.

 

He said that the programme is an opportunity for Anambra to discuss and chart the future of the State, just as the Governor promised sustained prosperity.

He pointed out that the event is an opportunity for more people to participate in what is happening in the State, recalling some carefully orchestrated timeline build-up events that heralded the Summit including the town hall meetings in Lagos, Anambra and Abuja, as well as the roundtable session with biggest importers, manufacturers and exporters in the State.

 

According to Mr. Okoye, discussions at the summit will be focusing more on critical projects that can be used to develop the state including discussions on power, ongoing industrial hubs, the technology space, how to build sustainable businesses in Anambra State, among others, revealing that business projects in infrastructure, agriculture and others will be signed as well.

Mr. Okoye who mentioned that twelve committees are working to ensure a hitch-free event, maintained that Governor Soludo’s disruptive approach to governance has been dealing with foundational issues that can inhibit sustainable investments in the State.

 

The Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, Executive Director of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, Mr Ejike Osisioma, among others, were present at the briefing.
