The Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engineer Chris Obiorah has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his efforts to enthrone a business and investment friendly-environment in Nnewi through strategic road infrastructure.
Engineer Obiorah gave the commendation while receiving Governor Soludo and his entourage who came to inspect the dilapidated bank road Nnewi.
Engineer Obiorah who joined the inspection shortly after receiving the Governor at Ibeto junction also pointed out some other critical roads in Nnewi that needs government attention.
He thanked Governor Soludo for having the interest of the people of Nnewi at heart, having awarded two ongoing roads in Nnewi and about to award another one.
While noting that the people of Nnewi are appreciative of his concern, Engineer Obiorah assured of the continuous support of the people of Nnewi to ensure the realization of a livable prosperous Anambra State.
He used the occasion to commend the Governor for his efforts in tackling infrastructure deficit in the State as well as other challenges facing Anambra State including gully erosion and encouraged him to sustain the tempo.
Engineer Obiorah said that the Okpunaeze junction to hotel road and that of Isaho to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital Permanent site road are going according to plan expressing the hope that the contractor will speed up work once the rain subsides.
