The Anambra state Ministry of Works has commenced palliative work on Amansea Gariki to Agu Awka junction axis of the Enugu-Onitsha old road.

 

The personnel of the Ministry were seen working from morning till night on Wednesday.

When the ABS arrived Amansea Gariki, it was observed that the road which was in a deplorable state before now has been asphalted while asphalting was still on going on other parts of the road..

 

The intervention was also extended to International Convention Center,Awka and Amawbia flyover among other places.

Materials were also seen along the road where work was ongoing.

 

Speaking to the ABS, the project supervisor from the ministry of works, Engineer Azuka Egwuatu said Governor Soludo mandated them to fix the road before Friday.

Engineer Egwuatu who expressed satisfaction that he was part of the present administration’s success story in road infrastructure, said that though the work is demanding, he is always read to put in efforts for the good of Ndi Anambra.

 

He assured that more intervention work will be extended to many roads across the state.
