Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo has accepted the resignation of the Commissioner for Finance Mr Ifeatu Onejeme.
A release signed by his Press Secretary Mr Christian Aburime said Mr Onejeme was appointed Commissioner for Finance by Governor Soludo at the beginning of the administration to help the new government settle in.
The release noted that Mr Onejeme has previously served as Commissioner during the Obiano’s administration.
While accepting his resignation, Governor Soludo commended his meritorious service to the government and the people of Anambra State as well as his commitment, professionalism and great service to Anambra State over the past nine and half years as Commissioner.
The Governor also extolled his diligence towards facilitating a seamless transition from the previous administration to the current one and appreciated his personal and family circumstances that warrant the resignation.
While wishing him success in his future endeavours, Governor Soludo expressed the hope that he will continue to avail his services in the development of Anambra and Nigeria in other spheres.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Mrs Chiamaka Nnake has been directed by Governor Soludo to oversee the Ministry of Finance until a substantive Commissioner is nominated to take over the Ministry.
