The Archdeacon, Awka Central Archdeaconry and Vicar of Anglican Church of the Pentecost, Venerable Ekenechukwu Nwafor says christians should be socially responsible and never commit acts to destroy others.
In a sermon during a church service, Venerable Nwafor noted that anyone baptized in the name of God is to practically promote others and avoid negative impacts.
Venerable Nwafor, who spoke “Christian Social Responsibilities”, noted that believers in Jesus Christ are the light of the world, calling on christians to be responsible in their environment.
At Divine Mercy Chaplaincy, Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital, Amaku Awka, the Chaplain, Reverend Father Justin Ezechukwu reminded christians that anger is dangerous, destroys one’s good deeds and leads to hellfire.
He asked the parishioners to always forgive and hand over everything to God whenever they are offended, adding that God rewards every deed.
At Saint Mathew’s Anglican Church, Nibo, a curate, Reverend Arinze Nwokike challenged the youths to overcome the perilous times by holding unto the word of God and walking according to his precepts.
He lamented the increase in idolatry, cultism, shedding of blood among the youths, and advised them to emulate Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego in the Bible, who changed the story of Babylon.
