RATTAWU is an umbrella union for all Radio and Television presenters, producers, distributors and projectors, operators of cinemas and allied services including workers in the music industry, information ministries, art councils, museums and galleries.

RATTAWU, as an industrial union was registered as the 25th of the 37 affiliates of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC). Since her inauguration and registration on November 1, 1977 and August 15, 1978, the name of the union has changed from Radio, Television and Theatre Workers to Radio, Television, Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria.

As the audio-visual fourth estate of the realm, RATTAWU plays a critical role as the conscience of the society. It is on this responsibility that they recognize members of the society who have distinguished themselves and contributed towards human capital development and nation building under her Hall of Fames establishment.

Thus, RATTAWU has taken the past fifteen years to beam her searchlight on High Chief Kenneth Ejiofor Ifekudu, OFR, Agbalanze Ezeonyekachukwu of Ozubulu in Ekwusigo Local Government Area of Anambra State and have decided to honour him as the RATTAWU Man of the Year, 2023.

Chief Ifekudu was born on 6th April, 1979 to late Chief and Lolo Paul A. Ifekudu (Ezeonyekachukwu) of Ozubulu.
