Governor Chukwuma Soludo has reiterated the commitment of his administration to make models of Anambra State public schools.
Addressing education stakeholders, Principal, staff and students of Community Secondary School Isuofia in Aguata Local Government Area, Professor Soludo regretted the situation whereby two sets of citizens are being created in Anambra State.
According to Governor Soludo, the system which provides quality education for children of the elites in the private schools, while leaving the children of the poor with poor education in the public schools is unacceptable.
The Governor stated that his administration is on a mission to bridge the gap between the children of the rich and poor in academic pursuit.
He said that It is in the drive to achieve the above that his administration has set machinery in motion to transform all public schools in Anambra State to smart schools.
According to the Governor, more three thousand teachers will also be recruited based on merit and posted to the public schools, Governor Soludo said.
