The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Barrister Slyvester Ezeokenwa, has called for Igbo unity and a sense of purpose in the pursuit of their agenda in Nigeria
Barrister Ezeokenwa made the call at the Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide Secretariat, Enugu State, during the Imeobi and General Assembly Meeting of the apex Igbo body.
He emphasized the need for collective action and cooperation in tackling the challenges and issues affecting the Igbo Nation.
Barrister Ezeokenwa urged Ndi Igbo and groups to set aside their political and religious differences and work together towards a better future for the Igbo nation.
The APGA National Chairman stressed the significant contributions of the Igbo Nation to the socio-economic development of Nigeria and urged Ndi Igbo to continue striving for excellence in various fields.
He encouraged them to actively participate in politics, business, education, agriculture and other sectors in order to maximize their potential and positively impact the country at large.
Barrister Ezeokenwa emphasized the need for Ndi Igbo to have strong leadership that can effectively represent and drive their interests at local, national, and international levels and called for the emergence of visionary leaders who will champion the cause of the Igbo Nation and foster unity and progress.
Ohaneze Ndigbo Worldwide General President, Chief Emmanuel Iwanyanwu, in his welcome address, acknowledged the challenges faced by Ndi Igbo, both within Nigeria and in the diaspora.
He underscored the need for harmony in order to effectively address these challenges and work towards a better future for the Igbo nation.
The meeting was attended by critical stakeholders of Igbo extraction, religious and political leaders.
