A transport executive, Architect Chukwuka Okonkwo has commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the downward review of money being paid by traffic offenders in the state to five thousand naira.
Architect Okonkwo who disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in Awka, said that the governor’s gesture which is one of the palliative measures his administration has rolled out to cushion the effects of fuel subsidy is highly commendable and acceptable to the motoring public in the state.
He commended the Governor for other palliative measures his administration has rolled out like the proposed sharing of rice to about three hundred thousand households in Anambra, cash awards to civil servants, free antenatal and delivery to pregnant women, taxes and levies exemption to certain group of people and petty traders among others.
He further extolled the Governor for the free basic education he has granted to the pupils and students of public schools in Anambra, as well as his announcement to recruit extra three thousand teachers to augment the five thousand teachers he had earlier employed at the beginning of his administration.
Architect Okonkwo maintained that Governor Soludo is consciously bringing all-round development to the nooks and crannies of the state and urged Ndi Anambra to keep supporting his administration.
