The Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South Local Government Area, Prince Neville Uchendu has enjoined Ndi Anambra to give more support to Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s administration in view of the Governor’s development strides in the state.

 

Speaking at the Orumba South Council Secretariat, Umunze during the celebration of Nigeria’s Sixty-third Independence Anniversary, Prince Uchendu commended the contributions of the founding fathers of Nigeria especially their courage, struggle and selfless service which Nigerians are enjoying today.

The Orumba South Council Boss who called for renewed unity, love and peace among Nigerians, noted that with a change of negative attitudes such as corrupt practices and other social vices, Nigeria will be great again.

 

He lauded Governor Soludo for the relative calm and maximum security being experienced in the state and assured that Orumba South would continue to collaborate with the state government and other security agencies in ensuring security of lives and property of the citizenry.

Prince Uchendu who emphasized that Governor Soludo has made Ndi Anambra to partake actively in this year’s Nigeria’s Independence Anniversary Celebration by providing them with good governance, promised students of Orumba South that he would continue to contribute his quota towards their wellbeing.

 

Community Primary Schools Umunze, Akpu and Ogbunka took the first, second and third positions respectfully in match past in primary school category while Community High School, Umunze was the sole winner in the secondary school category.

 

The occasion attracted dignitaries including the Orumba South Leaders of Thought, Traditional Rulers, Presidents-general, Religious Organizations as well as Security Operatives among others.
