The Archbishop, Province of the Niger, the Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim has asked Christians to allow the Holy Spirit of God to direct and take charge of their lives.
The Most Reverend Ibezim who made the request at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Amawbia, Awka South Council Area, during the service of confirmation and admissions into Women’s Guild and Christian Men’s Fellowship of the Diocese of Awka, noted that God is in search of their hearts and if they open, God will dwell in.
The Most Reverend Ibezim who is also the Bishop, Diocese of Awka, explained that God promise of his Holy Spirit has been made manifest in the lives of believers and asked them to allow him to give them power to bear witness for Christ wherever they find themselves.
The Archdeacon, Amawbia Archdeaconry and Vicar, Saint Peter’s Church, Amawbia, Venerable Vincent Nkemdilim, thanked God for the arch-episcopal visit, stating that the Most Reverend Ibezim has continued to use his wealth of knowledge and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the church.
The Vicar Anglican Church of the Resurrection Amawbia, Reverend Christian Nwafor described the visit of Archbishop Ibezim as a moment of evangelism and promised they will continue to preach core words of God, keep winning souls and reconciling men back to God.
Speaking on behalf of the newly admitted Women’s Guild, Mrs. Chinelolum Onugha and Lilian Onwuagba said indeed the Most Reverend Ibezim has exposed them to build their families into godly homes, promising that, henceforth, their families will witness a turn around.
The President, Mothers’ Union, Women’s Guild, Girls Guild and Young Mother’s Association, Province of the Niger and Diocese of Awka, Mrs Martha Ibezim were among the people that graced the pastoral visit where one hundred and fifty five persons were confirmed, eighty admitted into the Women’s Guild and forty nine into the Christian Men’s Fellowship.
