The case between State Commissioner of Police and Chief Chijioke Okaa and Olufemi Salako at the Chief Magistrate Court sitting at Nnobi has been adjourned to October Twenty Seven . The adjournment followed absence of the second defendant Mr Salako during the hearing. Paul Ezeoke reports that adjourning the case, the Chief Magistrate, Mr Ken Nwoye warned that the court would proceed with the hearing if the second defendant fails to appear in the next adjourned date.

Chief Magistrate Nwoye made it clear that the court will not relocate to any other jurisdiction for any reason and asks the Counsel to the Second defendant to take necessary steps to ensure that his client appears court in the next adjourned date.

Earlier, the complaint, Mr Bonaventure Ezekwenna informed the court that he received information that the Nigeria Correctional Service said it could no longer bring the second defendant to any court outside Onitsha where he is being remanded.

It will be recalled that Chief Chijioke Okaa and Mr Olufemi Salako are facing a five count charge bordering on attempt to commit felony, conspiracy to commit misdemeanor and wilful and unlawful damage of a building among others.
