Odakpu Eagles will dig it out with Dynamite Head Bridge this week at the Godwin Achebe Stadium Fegge, Onitsha, as both teams defeated their opponents to secure a spot at the finals of Solution football championship.
While Odakpu Eagles won the match against Ochanja Lions by One goal to nothing, Dynamite Head Bridge won against Fegge United by three goals to one.
The team that emerges winner between Odakpu Eagles and Dynamite Head Bridge will represent Onitsha South Council Area at the State level for the Solution Community Shield Football Championship.
Addressing the teams before the commencement of the match, the Transition Committee Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Area Mr. Emeka Orji who spoke through the Local Football Council Chairman, Mr. Larry Akamba urged them to play the game in the spirit of brotherhood, pointing out that the tournament is aimed at fostering unity and peace among Anambra people.
In an interview with ABS, some of the players Including Onyedika Onyekawa of Dynamite Head Bridge, Chigozie Nworah of Fegge United, Chijioke Aleke of Ochanja Lions and Arinze Duru of Odakpu Eagles said it was a beautiful game adding that they gave in their best.
They commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the initiative while expressing optimism that team from Onitsha South will bring the trophy home.
