Anambra State Commissioner of Police Mr Aderemi Adeoye has described Rotary International as one organization that has continued to be credible and Noble.
Speaking when members of the Peace Building and Conflict Resolution of Rotary International led by the Governor in charge of District 9142 Rotarian Akan Emah paid him an advocacy visit, Mr Adeoye maintained that Rotary international is an organization with principled ideology committed to touching lives.
The Anambra State Commissioner of Police who commended Rotary International for including peace and conflict resolution in its areas of focus described peace as key to sustainable development and reassured them of his support to ensure that the objectives are achieved.
Mr Adeoye used the opportunity to commend the people of Anambra State for their peaceful conduct and Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his development strides in the State, reassuring the people of Anambra State that the police command under his watch will continue to give them adequate protection at all times.
The Police Commissioner who was during the visit honoured by Rotary international for his peaceful disposition, called on the people to always identify with Rotary in all its activities.
In a remark the Co-ordinator of Peace and Conflict Resolution of Rotary International District 9142, Dr Dennis Ekemezie said that they have been following the antecedents of the Police Commissioner before arriving in honoring him and urged him to sustain efforts in promoting peace.
Earlier the Governor of Rotary International district 9142, Rotarian Akan Emah who said that he was in Anambra State for the just concluded Polio plus seminar and visit to various clubs under his jurisdiction called for proper funding of the security agencies to enable them continue to discharge their duties effectively.
Present at the event were the wife of the commissioner of police in Anambra State who is also the chairperson of Police officers wives Association POWA in Anambra State Mrs Bolanle Adeoye, Assistant Governors of Rotary International, Rotary presidents among others.
