Winning an award is always a special moment in the life of the awardee.

 

And so, it was for Chief Kelvin Obiegbunam; who bagged an award for his selfless service and contributions towards human capital development in Nigeria.

 

The award was given to Chief Obiegbunam by the Faculty of Management Sciences, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, during her 2023 Alumni Homecoming and award ceremony held recently in Awka.

 

Receiving the award, Chief Obiegbunam, who is an Alumnus of the institution and President-General of Nri community, expressed appreciation to the principal officers of the Faculty of Management Sciences and the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Charles Esimone, for recognizing his contributions in different sectors, describing the award as a call for more work.

 

He enjoined other Ndi Anambra to be intentional about impacting lives with their God-given wealth in order to give the youths financial independence to be able to achieve their goals and aspirations.

 

Earlier, the Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Professor Esimone, appealed to well-meaning Nigerians to toe the line of the awardees and support the institution, even as he commended the efforts of the Dean and other principal officers of Faculty of Management Sciences for organising such homecoming event.

 

Professor Esimone, who thanked the awardees for their financial and moral supports to the institution, asked them not to relent.

 

The event attracted the very best from the academia, politicians, traditional rulers and captains of industry.
