The Executive Chairman, Anambra State Universal Basic Education Board, ASUBEB, Dr. Vera Nwadinobi has commended Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, for empowering five thousand youths with startup capital through the one youth two skills entrepreneurship programme.
Governor Soludo recently gave out over two-point-five billion naira as startup capital to the first phase of five thousand youths who had successfully completed their apprenticeship and training in various entrepreneurial skills.
Dr. Nwadinobi noted that Governor Soludo has achieved something worthwhile in less than nineteen months in office through the employment of over five thousand Teachers, empowering five thousand youths and an approval to recruit additional three thousand teachers thus, investing heavily in human capital development.
She further said that the idea of training and empowering Anambra youths through one youth two skills initiative, is to make them become wealth creators rather than job seekers which aligns with Mr. Governor’s call of developing human capital that is productive at home and exportable abroad.
Dr Nwadinobi thanked Governor Soludo for the kind gesture of taking Anambra youths out of the street and further encouraged the beneficiaries to be employers of labour and better citizens.
The ASUBEB Chairman urged Ndi Anambra to support all the efforts of Governor Soludo towards making the State a liveable and prosperous homeland.
