The traditional ruler of Awka community, Obi Gibson Nwosu has described the one youth two skills initiative of the Soludo administration as a laudable programme that will create a bright future for the youths.

 

Speaking to the ABS in his palace shortly after his return from oversea trip, Obi Nwosu said that the initiative is a clear indication that Governor Chukwuma Soludo is committed to creating one thousand youth millionaires annually in Anambra State.

 

He described Governor Soludo as a leader who always keeps to his campaign promise and called on the people to continue with their support to his administration.

 

Obi Nwosu who maintained that since the creation of Anambra State in August 1991, Professor Soludo is the only Governor that remembered Awka the State capital in terms of political appointments and infrastructural development.

 

He thanked Governor Soludo for the ongoing massive road construction and re-construction in different parts of the State, especially in Awka the State capital, as well as the construction of a new Government House and Lodge in Awka which he said are clear indications that Governor Soludo is poised to transform Awka into a livable and prosperous capital city.

 

Obi Nwosu used the opportunity to call on the people of Awka especially the youths to jettison ideas or behaviour capable of retarding the spate of development in the area.

 

Contributing, the traditional Prime Minister of Awka, Chief Benjamin Okoye and a member of the Awka Development Union Nigeria, ADUN Lagos branch, Chief Jonathan Nzekwe, described the efforts of Governor Soludo in developing Awka as commendable.

 

They reassured the Governor of the continued support and co-operation of the people of Awka to his administration.

 

Chiefs Benjamin Okoye and Jonathan Nzekwe urged youths of Awka extraction to key into the one youth two skills initiative of the Soludo administration to become employers of labour.
