Students of Saint Charles Special Science College, Onitsha over the weekend, received the Metropolitan Archbishop of Onitsha Ecclesiastical Province, Most Reverend Valerian Okeke.
The religious, Commissioner for Youth Development, Mr Patrick Aghamba, parents of the students, old boys and friends of the College among others.
In his homily Archbishop Okeke who was represented by Vicar- General of Onitsha Archdiocese, Very Reverend Father Johnbosco Okafor, admonished the students to always strive to be the best in whatever they do.
Archbishop Okeke urged them to always follow the footsteps of Saint Charles their Patron Saint who he said lived a life full of potential, integrity, discipline and a scholar, so as to represent him in the college and in the outside world.
Archbishop Okeke who urged the students to shun pride, selfishness and humble themselves to be exalted by God, commended the Manager of the College, very Reverend Father Emmanuel Emenu and the management for their doggedness and developmental strides in the school and for instilling discipline in the students and called for its sustenance
Appreciating Archbishop Okeke for the visit, the School Manager, Very Reverend Father Emenu, stated that the annual visit always empowers them spiritually, mentally and emotionally and praised the parents for maintaining their children and wards in the college and assured them of giving their wards holistic training.
This year’s Saint Charles feast feature administration of Sacrament of Confirmation on over one hundred students, choir rendition, drama and cultural display.
