Anambra State government has commenced a six-month 2023 Batch 15 mandatory conversion course for technical workers in the state civil service consisting of drivers, mechanics and plant operators.

 

The exercise is being conducted by the office of the Head of Service in conjunction with Anambra State Co-Ordinating Council of Technical Workers Association, ANSCCTWA.

Declaring open the event that is holding at the Head of Service conference hall, Jerome Udorji state secretariat, Awka, the Head of Service, Barrister Theodora Igwegbe, explained the importance of the conversion course to include improved service delivery, facilitate their promotions and salary increments and ensuring professionalism in their line of duty.

 

She appreciated Governor Chukwuma Soludo for supporting the training and encouraged the participants to maximize the opportunity and improve on their skills.

The Chairman of the association, Comrade Daniel Egbuonu who explained that the course is equivalent to OND said that the course is holding for the 15th time in Anambra State.

 

He revealed that Governor Soludo had paid for all the participants which made this edition free of charge and thanked the Governor for such gesture.

He also commended the Head of Service for quality leadership she is providing in the state civil service system and encouraged the beneficiaries from the local government system and MDAs to ensure that the impact of the course will be seen in their service delivery.
