As part of move to support the efforts of Governor Chukwuma Soludo towards ensuring that an average Anambra child acquires quality education, the Transition Committee chairman for Anaocha Local Government Area, Chief Gerald Ozoh has reconstructed a dilapidated two-story building, housing the administrative office and examination hall at Orjiakor Memorial Grammar school Adazi Ani.
speaking while handing over the renovated structure to the school authority, Chief Ozoh said that what prompted him to renovate the structure to standard was to ensure that teachers and students of the school have a conducive environment for quality teaching and learning.
Chief Ozoh who disclosed that he had earlier distributed education materials to primary schools in Anaocha Local Government Area called on public spirited individuals to join in the development of Anambra State.
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Afam Obidike who also attended the event, said that the Soludo administration is committed to partnering individuals and various Communities to bring more development in Anambra state and announced that apart from investing in the education sector, Governor Soludo is renovating and equipping primary Heath Care centers in the three hundred and twenty-six wards across the state for effective and quality health care delivery and called on the people to continue with their support to his administration.
The principal of the school, Mrs. Celestina Ikejiofor, in her welcome address, thanked the Transition Committee Chairman, Chief Ozoh for coming to their aid, emphasizing that the building served multi-purpose functions.
The Chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA in Anaocha Local Government Area, Chief Anthony Ugorji, the President General of Adazi Ani, Mr. Ikechukwu Ezechukwu and the Councilor for Adazi Ani ward one, Mr. Casmir Oselu described the legacies of the APGA government in Anambra State as laudable saying that the Chief Ozoh has through the project created a bright prospect for students of the school.
The Zonal Director of Education, Post Primary School Service Commission Awka, Mrs. Ngozi Chukwujekwu and the Senior Prefect of the school, Master Onyedika thanked the Transition Committee Chairman, for ensuring the completion of the project saying that as it will greatly benefit the students.
Earlier, the member representing Anaocha two constituency, at the State House of Assembly, Sir Ejike Okechukwu while also commissioning renovated Agricultural building and Canteen for staff at the Anaocha Local Government Headquarters, thanked the Transition Committee Chairman for queuing into the state government’s Agricultural policy.
