The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Ihiala zone has honoured the Chairman, Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, ASLGSC, Barrister Vin Ezeaka with an award for his unwavering support and dedication that has led to the growth of the party over the years.
The event which was held in Awka attracted all the party’s political juggernauts from Ihiala zone as well as family and friends.
Addressing the gathering, the member representing Ihiala one constituency in the State House of Assembly, Honurable Jude Ngobiri described Barrister Ezeaka as a house hold name in the zone and a grassroot politician who has used his time and resources to support the party over the years.
The lawmaker who noted that the award is well deserved urged the ASLGSC Chairman not to relent in his transformation agenda in the state’s local government system.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, Sir Chido Obidigwe while commending Barrister Ezeaka for the honour done him, maintained that it is a well-deserved appreciation by Ndi APGA Ihiala.
Sir Chido further said that the awardee has distinguished himself creditably well as a legal luminary and called on him to continue his good works as he has always been an inspirational and motivational leader to many people.
Responding, Barrister Ezeaka who said that he is overwhelmed by the honour done him by his people, appreciated them as well as Governor Chukwuma Soludo who gave him the opportunity to serve Ndi Anambra.
He revealed that recently, Anambra received an award as the best Information Communication Technologies, ICT, compliant local government system in Nigeria under his watch and promised that he will continue to digitalize the State’s local government system to enhance productivity and eliminate leakages.
Others who spoke at the event were, the immediate past House of Assembly member that represented Ihiala One Constituency, Honourable Chidi Udemmadu and the Secretary, Anambra State Local Government Service Commission, Barrister Stan Nwattah, who showered encomiums on the leadership qualities of Barrister Ezeaka and urged him to sustain the tempo.
