The Anglican Bishop of Aguata Diocese Right Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has charged teachers in institutions of higher learning to always aspire to be faithful Stewards by nurturing quality and responsible graduates who can contribute to the needed transformation in the society.
In a sermon at the Anglican Chapel of the light, Federal Polytechnic Oko in Orumba North Local government area during a service of confirmation and admission into Girls Guild, Women’s Guild and Anglican Men’s fellowship for the Polytechnic community, Bishop Ezeofor advised teachers to always be dedicated in teaching the students saying that doing otherwise is highly irresponsible.
He stressed the need for parents and teachers to build trust among their children and students describing them as treasures given to them to look after.
Right Reverend Ezeofor who is also the National chairman of the Evangelical fellowship in the Anglican communion EFAC Nigeria, maintained that every good thing comes from God charging Christians to always use their individual talents and destinies in serving God and humanity.
He urged the faithful to take full responsibility of what God created and handed over to them reminding them that they will give account of their stewardship to God on the judgement day.
Bishop Ezeofor who said that God always stand for justice, cautioned the people against celebrating those whose source of Income is questionable which he described as the bane of the society.
In a remark the chaplain of the Anglican chapel of the Light Federal Polytechnic Oko, Reverend Canon Emmanuel Ogudoro, who thanked the Bishop for the visit which he described as a great morale booster to both the students and teachers, called on Nigerians to learn how to make sacrifices to achieve the needed transformation in the Nigerian Nation.
The service which was attended by the president of Aguata Diocesan Women’s Ministry Mrs Chinyere Ezeofor, Some Diocesan officials staff and management of the Polytechnic featured special anthem by the chapel choir, series of prayers for both the students and teachers, those in leadership positions, Anambra State and the Nigerian Nation.
