The Vicar, Saint Joseph’s Anglican Church, Nwakpadolu Estate GRA, Awka, Reverend Canon OnyekaChukwu Bosah has challenged Christians to look inwards and uproot whatever God did not sow in their likes.
Reverend Canon Dr Bosah gave the charge in a sermon during a Sunday service which has its theme as’ Tricks of the enemy’.
He noted that people only look out to see the enemy in human form who are contending with them and reminded them that the enemy is within as their thoughts and self seem to be the more dangerous enemy they have, which manifested in disobedience, disrespect and other acts which should be uprooted so as to make success.
At the Grace of God Mission, Araba, Awka, a visiting Priest, Reverend Dr Ora Okwuchukwu stressed that all should uphold the faith to save their souls, adding that it is important that the church should spread the core message of faith.
The Parish Priest, Annunciation Parish, Awka, Reverend Father Victor Igwegbe said heavenly race requires passion and risk as Christians are expected to follow Christ and deny self many things to focus on journey to eternity.
Reverend Father Igwegbe cautioned Christians against allow things of the world to hinder them from service to Christ, encouraging the parishioners to live righteously, love one another and make prayer their watch word.
