The transition committee Chairman of Idemili South Local Government Area Mrs Amaka Obi has charged Ndi Anambra to see the development of the state as a collective responsibility.

Speaking on ABS Radio and Television Programme Tonimas half hour in Awka, Mrs Obi, who described Anambra as a State that is richly blessed, called on the people to channel their resources to the development of the State.

According to Mrs Obi the people of Anambra State should count themselves lucky for having Professor Chukwuma Soludo as their Governor, pointing out that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has through his people-oriented Programmes and policies shown that he is committed to improving the living standards of the people.

She said that through the one youth two skills Initiative of the Government, Governor Soludo has empowered the first five thousand Youths who recently graduated from various skills, a gesture she noted will go a long way in making them employers of labour thereby reducing crime rate and youth restiveness.

Mis Obi urged Youths to key into various skills acquisition programmes of both the Anambra State Government and that of local government areas to learn more skills that will make them self-reliant.

The transition committee chairman of Idemili South local government area, who also spoke on the Infrastructural development of the Soludo administration in Anambra State, said that the ongoing massive road construction and reconstruction in different Communities will apart from improving both human and vehicular movements across the state boost businesses.

She called on Ndi Anambra to continue with the prayers, support and partnerships with the Government for enhanced development of the state.

Mrs Obi used the opportunity to commend some individuals and corporate bodies that have continued to partner the government especially at the grassroots and called for its sustainability.
