As Catholic Faithful across the globe celebrate this year’s “Christ The King”, Catholic faithful in Omor community in Ayamelum Local Government Area were not left behind as they joined to commemorate the kingship of Christ.
As part of activities marking the day, members of St Luke’s Catholic Church Omor and other Catholic faithful in the area were spotted by the ABS crew walking through the nooks and crannies of the, community professing Christ as the Messiah and King of the whole world.
In an interview, the Catechist of St Luke’s Catholic Church Omor, Mr. Joseph Ekwunife explained that the event which is very significant to Catholics is a means through which they reemphasize the kingship of Jesus Christ and remind the world on the need to acknowledge His leadership over the affairs of men.
Mr. Ekwunife used the opportunity to call on Christians and others to accept Christ into their lives as His kingship assures eternal life and better life here on earth.
The feast of Christ the King is celebrated across the world in June but is celebrated in November every year in Nigeria because June is always rainy.
