The industrial city of Nnewi was agog with various supporters of Governor Chukwuma Soludo from the Anambra South Senatorial zone and beyond as Soludo Ambassadors held its Anambra South Mega rally with funfair.

 

The event held at Nkwo Nnewi triangle was themed “soldering the solution agenda”.

It attracted political heavy weights from far and within comprising Soludo Ambassadors from the seven local government areas of Anambra South.

 

addressing the gathering, the Convener and National Leader of the group, Mr. Ossy Onuko said that the group wants to make a statement that Nnewi is an All-Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA land, as the Supreme Leader of the party, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was an Nnewi man.

Mr. Onuko who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Awka Capital Territory Development Authority, ACTDA took time to reel out Governor Soludo’s unquantifiable and unmatchable achievements in Anambra State, Anambra South and Nnewi in particular, including the training and empowerment of five thousand youths with two-billion-naira seed money, the ongoing construction of over four hundred kilometers of roads in the state among others.

 

According to Mr. Onuko, the current administration in the State has turned Anambra into a construction site, has given free antenatal and delivery for pregnant women, free basic education, the reviving of urban water scheme, the introduction of three new cities, Awka two point zero, Onitsha two point zero as well as Nnewi industrial city, adding that the ongoing Solution Fun City in Awka will amaze the people of West Africa when completed.

Also speaking, the Chief of Staff to Governor Soludo who represented the Governor at the event, Mr. Earnest Ezeajughi appreciated the Soludo Ambassadors for their doggedness and determination in propagating the good works of Governor Soludo, adding that with the 2024 Appropriation bill of the Governor which is tagged “changing gear”, Ndi Anambra are about to witness the best of the Soludo administration.

 

The National Co-ordinator of Soludo Ambassadors, Chief Kenneth Nwachukwu, the Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu, the Anambra South Coordinator of the group, Prince Nnamsom Nwafor-Orizu as well as the Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Engineer Chris Obiorah paid glowing tributes to Governor Soludo’s developmental strides and asked residents of the state to keep supporting the Soludo administration for more development of Anambra state.

Earlier at the palace of the foremost Igwe Kenneth Orizu of Nnewi, the Convener of the group, Mr. Onuko who led the entourage informed the monarch of their mission in the industrial city.

 

Responding, Igwe Orizu described Governor Soludo as go-getter, and a man with enormous wisdom and intelligence to lead Anambra state well, even as he prayed God to bless the group and Governor Soludo.

 

Procession by various local government Soludo Ambassadors and groups that attended the event, performance by Mkpokiti Umunze, masquerade displays, unveiling of the Anambra South zonal office of the Soludo Ambassadors among others were the highlights of the event.
