Governor Chukwuma Soludo has continued to receive commendations for appointment of Professor Kate Omenugha as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University
In her reaction, the Head of Department of Mass Communication of the University Professor Angela Nwammuo described the appointment of Professor Omenugha as a square peg in a square hole.
Professor Nwammuo who is also the Chairman of Nigerian Institute of Public Relations Anambra State described it as a reflection of the increasing belief that the Public Relations practitioners were bridge builders and better managers of human and material resources.
She noted that by this appointment, Professor Omenugha becomes the first female and only Vice Chancellor in Anambra State, noting that it is in recognition of her exceptional performance as a renowned academic and Commissioner for Education in Anambra State where the State is still reaping the fruit of the innovations she introduced into the educational sector.
Professor Nwammuo applauded Governor Soludo for being gender sensitive, identifying and rewarding hard work and prayed that the good Lord will be with the new Vice Chancellor as she pilots the affairs of the University.
