Awka North Local Government Area Chapter of Soludo Support Group, SSG, has been officially inaugurated.
The event held at Isuaniocha, Awka North Council Area, attracted lovers of Governor Soludo from across the council area from both All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and other political parties in the state.
Addressing the people, the Chief of Protocol to Governor Chukwuma Soludo who is the Convener and National Coordinator, Soludo Support Group, Chief Chinedu Nwoye, thanked people of Awka North for their support so far to the administration of Professor Soludo and encouraged them to sustain the tempo, as according to him the Governor has Awka North at heart.
Chief Nwoye listed some of the achievements of Governor Soludo’s government in the area and other parts of the state including the ongoing construction of the Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene-Awbaofemili road, Okpuno-Isuaniocha-Urum road, free education to primary school pupils and junior secondary students, employment of teachers and health workers, among others, assuring that the present administration will continue with the good work until Anambra is positively transformed in the interest of the people.
Commending a one-time President General of Isuaniocha community and Patron Soludo Support Group Awka North, Chief Tony Onyeagolu popularly known as Ozo Ononenyi, on various efforts towards restoring peace in Isuaniocha, Chief Nwoye called on all communities in Awka North to embrace peace as no society develops without peace and unity, and reminded the people that Soludo Government on daily bases fights to enthrone peace across communities in the state for the actualization of his lofty vision for Anambra. In a remark, the Patron Awka North SSG, Chief Onyeagolu thanked the SSG National Coordinator, Chief Nwoye for deeming it necessary to establish the group in Awka North, assuring that people of Awka North will continue to accord their unalloyed support to the administration of Professor Soludo which he said has proven to mean well for the area, and promised that votes of the people in the area belong to Governor Soludo in the next election.
Speaking, the SSG National Woman Leader, Lady Chimdindu Orakwue commended people of Awka North on their massive turnout for the event, describing it as a testament that the people love Soludo and his leadership style, expressing the hope that they will keep supporting the Governor, even as she appreciated Governor Soludo on the quality of work ongoing on the Unizik Temporary Y junction-Okpuno-Isuaniocha road.
Speaking earlier, the Awka North APGA Chairman, Mr. James Onwuka, Coordinator SSG Awka North, Mr. Ikechukwu Offorkansi and SSG Women Coordinator Awka North, Mrs. Maureen Obi reaffirmed the people’s support to Governor Soludo led administration, an administration they said is first to remember Awka North council area after years of abandonment by previous governments in the state.
