Anambra State Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission says its Officers and Men are fully on ground to ensure easy flow of traffic across the State especially during this yuletide and beyond.
Its sector Commander Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi who disclosed this in a telephone interview with Abuchi Nwozor said that already the commission is collaborating with other security agencies and Traffic management body to ensure that all gridlocks and obstruction are removed for enhanced human and vehicular movements across Anambra State.
Mr Irelewuyi, who blamed most road crashes on human factors, charged motorists to always obey traffic rules and regulations in order to minimize the rate of accidents on the highway.
He commended the Anambra State government and some individuals and corporate organizations for their support and encouragement to the Federal Road Safety Commission in Anambra State calling for its sustainability.
The sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission in Anambra State who re-assures of continuous sensitization of motoring public on the inherent dangers of over speeding and dangerous overtaking among other road traffic offences maintained that the commission is working in synergy with Federal Road Maintenance Agency FERMA with a view to informing it on some bad portions of federal roads in order to rehabilitate them as part of measures to ensure free vehicular movement.
Mr Irelewuyi also disclosed that Anambra and Delta State governments are working together to man the two bridges across the River Niger to reduce gridlocks in that area which usually occurs during the yuletide.
