The great declaration by King David in Psalms twenty-four verse 12 that the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein has truly been made manifest in Isiagu community, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The Lord God has established His presence in the community through the spirit filled and inspired annual solemn assembly of the community known as “Great Isiagu Crusade.”

The crusade is a gospel vehicle driven by Christians in the community who are eager to introduce, promote and institute the undiluted word of God in Isiagu. It is prayed towards ensuring that the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ continues to shine permanently in the land of Isiagu and till all the souls in the community see and receive the light of God’s word.

The first edition of the Great Isiagu crusade was held in December 2021. It was financed and declared an annual programme by the traditional ruler of Isiagu, His Royal Highness, Igwe Augustine Nwankwo ( Igwe the first and Ezedioranma the second of Isiagu). The subsequent edition in 2022 and this year’s edition which is the third edition will be sponsored by all Christians and lovers of God in Isiagu.

In fact, it has been a journey of breakthroughs, God’s intervention, testimonies and establishment of God’s kingdom right in Isiagu since the first edition held in 2021. Indeed, the Lord, in his faithfulness, has shown great favours to the organizers of this yearly crusade. Each edition of the crusade has witnessed the presence of God’s anointed men such as Rev. Godspower Anaso of Godspower Evangelistic World Outreach Ministry, Awka. Reverend Anaso during his ministration at the last edition of the crusade in 2022 volunteered to always be part of the crusade.

Testimonies already abound from God’s intervention at the programme. Isiagu community since the commencement of this programme has witnessed unprecedented spiritual, physical, economic and academic development. One of which is the appointment of an indigene of the community, Hon. Thankgod Anagor (Mayor) as the

Transition Committee Chairman of Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra. Remarkably, the position will be the highest political position ever given or attained by an indigene of Isiagu since the creation of Anambra State. This was made possible through the prayers of Isiagu Christians during one of the editions of the crusade.

Also, the upgrade of Afor Isiagu from a weekly market to a daily market is a physical and economic development for the community. Isiagu farmers who are renowned for their cassava are no longer restricted to trade only on Afọr days. They can now sell their goods to patrons who come from far and wide on a daily basis to buy their farm produce.

It is in the spirit of sustaining these testimonies and more, and guaranteeing future breakthroughs for the community that the organizers of this annual solemn assembly known as “Great Isiagu Crusade” have packaged this year’s edition to be a three-day power-packed Liberation Crusade. The theme is: “The one mightier than all”, taken from the Gospel of Matthew Chapter three and versus eleven. It will begin tomorrow Tuesday 19th to Thursday 21st December, 2023. Venue is Obu Okpala Primary School, Isiagu and Time is 5pm daily. The guest speaker is Rev. Godspower Anaso.

The crusade will feature salvation, deliverance, healing, land Liberation, breaking of curses, evil covenants, and prophetic declarations.

The coordinators of this crusade: Evangelist Walter Dieli, Pastor Eddy Mojekwu and the Rev’d Canon Sam Ginikanwa; the Secretary of the committee, Rev. Matthew Faithful Omenyi, the President General of Isiagu Community, Mr Udochukwu Nnebedum and all the organizers of the crusade are calling on all indigenes of Isiagu and lovers of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ at home and in the diaspora to join this great awakening. We are also grateful to Evang Chikodi Samuel Okoli for his great support to this mandate.

“Come and experience your Liberation! Jesus is the one mightier than all! Amen!”
