Anambra State Governor’s wife, Nonye Soludo, says she hopes to visit all the children’s homes in Anambra State before Christmas.

Mrs. Soludo stated this during her visits to more children’s homes in Awka and Amawbia.

The children’s homes visited by the Governor’s wife were Tenderlove Community Children’s Home, Awka, and Divine Mercy Compassion Home, Amawbia.

They bring to ten the total number of homes visited so far among the thirty-nine in Anambra State.

Speaking at both homes, Mrs. Soludo said that she was there to celebrate the season with the children, noting that she had always visited the homes because she felt blessed doing so.

She explained that Christmas calls for love, pointing out that reaching out to those who do not have is the real essence of Christmas.

The Governor’s wife also hailed caregivers in the homes for their sacrifices, and reminded them that their jobs come with immense blessings from God.

Speaking in one of the homes, the President, Association of Registered Community Children’s Homes, Anambra State, Mrs. Ngozi Eze, described the governor’s wife’s visit as rare, being the first Governor’s wife in the history of the state to have visited all the children’s homes in the state.

She thanked her for showing up at a time like this when the poor need her most.
