Workers have been charged to always have passion for their job and be dedicated to their duties not minding the challenges.
The immediate past Director of Commercial Services of the Anambra Broadcasting Service Mrs. Beatrice Akwanamnye, gave the charge during her send forth ceremony held at ABS Corporate headquarters in Awka.
Mrs. Akwanamnye who went done memory lane on her journey in ABS, starting from the old Anambra state in 1988, later to Anambra State when it was created, her posting to Lagos State as commercial officer where she worked for a long time before coming back to Awka to head the commercial department.
She emphasized that the journey has not been easy, being a wife, a mother and balancing it all with work, thanking God for guidance through the journey while advising those in active service to love their job not minding the challenges.
In his remark during the event, the Managing Director of the Anambra Broadcasting Service, Sir Chido Obidiegwu, commended eaMrs. Akwanamnye for her meritorious service to ABS over the years not minding the challenges she might have encountered, encouraging workers present to emulate her sense of commitment to duty.
In their goodwill messages, the acting Head of Commercial Department, Mrs. Uju Ifediba, Deputy Head of Station, Onitsha, Mr. Val Oguejifor and Mr. Emeka Okeke explained that Mrs. Akwanamnye has an outstanding personality, who is humble, kind and make work easy and interesting, noting that her wealth of experience will still be tapped, wishing her well in her retirement.
A family member who also came to identify with Mrs. Akwanamnye, Mr. Alexander Otakpor described her as an embodiment of love who have represented the family well over the years, adding that she is an easy going and unassuming personality.
The event was also attended by the ABS Director of Administration, Lady Tina Ekenta, the Acting Director News and Current Affairs, Mrs. Juddy-Jeff Nwabueze, the Director of Programmes, Mrs. Nneka Ekwunife, serving and retired staff among others.
The event climaxed with gift presentation to Mrs. Akwanamnye and goodwill messages.
