Over two hundred persons have benefited from this year’s free medical program and Christmas largesse provided by Big C Charity Foundation for the people of Agulu in Anaocha Local Government Area.
The beneficiaries of the gestures were freely diagnosed, treated and given drugs for various ailments they are suffering from, including diabetes, arthritis, malaria, hypertension, hepatitis, ulcer, typhoid, among others
The people also smiled home with bags of rice, beans, tubers of yam, and loaves of bread.
Speaking, the founder of the Big C Charity Foundation, Dr Joachim Aforjama popularly known as Big C, and Pump na-agba agba nke Anaocha, his wife, Angel, thanked God for another opportunity to give back to the society, saying that their motivation for the kind gestures is their quest for a better society.
They encouraged youths to embrace hard work and determination in order to succeed in life, even as they asked the youths to abstain from hard drugs and other social vices which according to them are only capable of cutting their lives short and destroying their future.
In an interview, the Transition Committee Chairman for Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr. Gerald Ozor, commended Big C and his wife for putting smiles on the faces of Ndi Agulu, on yearly bases, and as well contributing immensely to the progress and development of Anaocha Council Area, praying God to replenish his pocket.
Mr. Ozor wished Ndi Anaocha and entire people of Anambra State a happy Christmas and prosperous 2024, and called on Ndi Anambra to continue to support Professor Chukwuma Soludo led administration for uninterrupted and equitable distribution of democracy dividends, even as he called on people of the state in the diaspora to come home, relax with families and invest, as there is now adequate security in the state, courtesy of Governor Soludo’ government.
For the Traditional ruler of Agulu community, Igwe Innocent Obodoakor, that of Obeledu, Igwe Chijioke Oragwam, Chairman Ukunu village Agulu, Mr. Okechukwu Agunwa, and a friend to Big C, Chief Anthony Ebele, Big C is a blessing to Ukunu village, Agulu community and the entire Anaocha Council Area, describing his benevolence and life of charity as one that should be emulated by other wealthy individuals for a better society.
Some of beneficiaries that spoke to the ABS, including Mrs. Roseline Okpalaiwu and Mr. Gregory Muojeke, appreciated Big C and his wife for always remembering them, praying God to continue to bless and keep them and their family.
