The Anglican Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese, Right Reverend Prosper Amah says prophesies concerning the birth of Jesus Christ manifested according to the plan and purpose of God.
In a sermon at the Saint James the great Cathedral Atani during a special Christmas service, Right Reverend Amah who maintained that the main purpose of the birth of Jesus Christ is to reconcile Man and God charged the faithful to always give good testimonies about Jesus Christ.
He said that the birth of Jesus Christ in a manger is a sign of humility, and called on the people especially those in leadership positions to emulate the humility of Christ in service delivery, and charged Christians to always imbibe the teachings of Christmas as they celebrate.
Right Reverend Amah reminded the people of the need to use the period of Christmas in building bridges of true love, peace and total reconciliation to bring even development in their various areas.
Bishop Amah who regretted the hardship Nigerians are passing through advised those in various positions of trust to desist from playing politics with the welfare of the masses.
He described the birth of Jesus Christ as one that brings redemption to mankind and warned the people against taking the mercy and grace of God for granted.
Bishop Amah urged affluent individuals to remember the less privileged this Christmas and beyond to give them a sense of belonging.
The service jointly facilitated by Venerable Frank Akachukwu and Reverend Kenneth Obiejemba featured
special prayers, thanksgiving and special anthem by the cathedral choir.
