Cynthia Okoye of Umuenechi village Nibo, has emerged winner of the 2023 Ada Nibo Beauty Pageant.
She got over one hundred and thirty points to beat other six contestants and clinch the crown.
Precious Okonkwo came second, while Comfort Adjato took the third position.
The Ada Nibo Carnival is the brain-child of Engineer Stephen Ezeagabu, owner of Porsh Entertainment, and is aimed at restoring the customs and traditions of Nibo in particular, and Ndigbo in general.
The event, which took place at Nibo Civic Centre, attracted young and elderly people of the community, including the President-General, Professor Tony Nwokoye.
The Coordinator and host of the event, Miss Chinwoke Ezeagabu, said that the Ada Nibo Carnival and Beauty Pageant is an annual cultural event organized to bring the young maidens of Nibo community to limelight.
She explained that the 2023 edition was the eighth of the event, adding that the Porsh Entertainment crew, having been learning new things over the years, expanded the event to encourage creativity and called for more support from Nibo indigenes.
In her remark, the new Ada Nibo, Miss Okoye, who appreciated the organizers of the event for finding her worthy of the crown, announced that her pet project for the one year of her reign is to float a programme that would help preach against unwanted pregnancy among adolescent girls.
