Nibo-born exporter, Chief Chukwunonso Nwokike, has commended Anambra Broadcasting Service, ABS, for projecting Anambra to the outside world.
Nwokike, who was reacting to the “Philanthropist of the year” award conferred on him at the 2023 annual ABS Christmas Fiesta, said he is honoured to receive the award, adding that to whom much is given, much is expected.
He described Governor Chukwuma Soludo as people’s Governor, and thanked him for his youth empowerment programmes in the state.
Commending the traditional ruler of Nibo community, Igwe Michael Ngene, for sustaining peace in the community, Chief Nwokike called on privileged individuals to increase their support for the community development, and to assist in empowering the youths.
Expressing delight over his wife’s membership of “Iyom Nibo”, Chief Nwokike said they are expected to assist more in the development of the community, and promised increased support to the women group to achieve their aims.
Contributing, the wife, Amara who received the title of “Iyom Ojiefi” thanked her husband for helping her become among the first initiates into Iyom fold in Nibo, adding that she will use the opportunity to support the husband in community development and extending help to the needy.
