The 1992 set of Comprehensive Science and Technical College Nawfia in Njikoka Local Government Area has handed over a gatehouse it started and completed to the management of the school.
The project worth fifteen million naira was started by the Chief of Protocol to Governor Chukwuma Soludo, Mr Chinedu Nwoye who is the pioneer and immediate past Chairman of the association.
Speaking after handing over the gate house Mr Nwoye said their set saw the poor condition of the school gate and decided to give it a face lift and also to provide security in the school.
Mr Nwoye noted that the gate is among other projects they have cited in the school assieing that they will complete other parts of the perimeter fencing on both Nawfia and Umuokpu boundaries.
Handing over the gate house, the President of the association, Dr Ebuka Uneze noted that it was not easy for them at the beginning as according to him, the landscaping of the entrance and the gate house gulped millions of naira, and appreciated members for their steadfastness and strong resolve to achieve their aim.
Receiving the project on behalf of the Archbishop Ecclesiastical Province of the Niger and Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Reverend Alexander Ibezim who is the proprietor of the school, the principal of the school, Venerable Clement Mgbemena, thanked the 1992 set for always being there for the school.
