Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has assured of sustaining development plans initiated by previous administrations in the state.
Governor Soludo was speaking during the one hundred and twenty fourth Ovala Aguleri of the fifth Eze Idigo, Igwe Michael Idigo.
The celebration took place at Ama Igwe Aguleri, Anambra East Council Area.
Speaking through his Chief of Staff, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, the governor stressed that his administration is making efforts to take development to all parts of the State, using his five pillars of development, including security, law and order, infrastructure and economic transformation, human capital development, among others, pointing out that as a result of the security architecture he has put in place, insecurity has been reduced to the barest minimum.
He added that four hundred and thirty-seven kilometers of roads is going on in the state and highlighted the recruitment of five thousand teachers by his administration, with another three thousand that will be recruited soon, solving a lot of community issues, among others as some of his administrations giant strides and called on the people to support his administration to succeed.
The Governor described the Public-Private-Community Partnership, PPCP model of development as the best way projected by the present administration to achieve even development at the grassroots level.
Responding , Igwe Idigo noted that Governor Soludo has initiated a lot of programmes that have translated to visible development in the state and pledged to continue to support his administration.
Highpoint of the event was when the Former Chief of Army Staff, General TY Burutai retired, was given the title of “Ọchịagha Dike eji eje ọgụ Aguleri” by Igwe Idigo, witnessed by former Governor Willie Obiano, the Transition Committee Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, Dr. Anselm Onuorah, among others.
Former Governor Virgy Etiaba, Traditional Rulers, including the Chairman of South East and Anambra State Traditional Rulers’ Council, Igwe Nnaemeka Achebe among others, attended the event.
