It was a celebration of life, lived in humility and responsibility during the burial ceremony of late Chief Augustine Igidikwu Atonamba at Irualor village, Igbariam, Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State.

 

Chief Atonamba, who was the Father of ABS Staff, Mr. Ifeanyi Atonamba, died at the age of eighty-nine.

 

Mr. Ifeanyi, one of the sons of the deceased, described their father as a good man, who stood by the truth, liked associating with all fairly, and a traditionalist, and prayed for longevity upon all that came to be give their father befitting funeral ceremony .

 

An extended family member, Mr. Samuel Udechukwu described Chief Atonamba as a peaceful and responsible man, who lived purposefully and admonished the children to follow the path their father followed to keep his legacies alive.

 

Mr. Sunday Okwudikem, another extended family member, explained that the deceased was a good man and lived responsibly and avoided troubles and rancor, advising all to always learn important lessons in life while alive.

The ABS management staff, led by Mr. Paul Okoye, who is the Director of Engineering Department, noted that they came to commiserate with the Atonamba family, advising the family to put their hope and trust in God always, who would console them.

 

The Director of News and Current Affairs ABS, Mrs Juddy-Jeff Nwabueze and her Administration counterpart, Lady Tina Ekenta, were also amongst the sympathizers who came to condole with the family.
