The remains of late Chief Titus Nwosu were during the yuletide laid to rest at his country home Ihite, Azia, in Ihiala Council Area, Anambra state.

 

Late Chief Nwosu died at the age of ninety-one years.

The event which commenced with holy mass at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Umuohi Okija attracted the clergy, religious, members of old boys of all Hallows Seminary Onitsha, Set eighty-five, among other dignitaries from far and near.

 

In a homily, the officiating priest, Very Reverend Father Titus Nnabugwu who described death as the departure of the soul from the flesh, recalling the essence of man’s creation, which he said is to know, serve and be with God in life eternal, called on the faithful to assess their lives and live in accordance with God’s will.

The priest encouraged the bereaved family to take solace in the Lord and toe their father’s footsteps even as he described the deceased as a devoted Christian.

 

The son of the deceased, Mr. Bernard Nwosu described their late father as an embodiment of truth, love, care, compassionate and a peace-loving man who because of his love for the down trodden established Beatrice Nwosu Memorial Foundation to carter for the educational needs of the poor, called on the siblings to maintain the peace and unity the family is known for.

Some of the deceased daughters, Reverend Sister Ogochukwu Nwosu and Mrs. Chinenye Chukwuma described their father as a philanthropist who instilled the right attitude in them.

 

Others bore testimony to the good life led by the deceased including the granddaughter, Mrs Nneka Ojiaku, his in-laws, Chief Michael Ezeonyejekwe, Mr. George Chukwuma and Mr Aloysius Okpalaeke.

Internment, condolences among others, featured during the burial ceremony.
