The remains of the late Mr Edward Chike Morah have been committed to earth in his compound at Obanye Street Odoakpu Onitsha.

 

The Late Chike Morah who died at the age of sixty-seven was a retired Engineering staff of Anambra Broadcasting Service.

 

The funeral ceremony reports that the burial was done according to Onitsha custom and Tradition.

The Late Mr Chike Morah until his death was a member of Agbalanze Society of Onitsha and a member of Nnebuife and Umuoma Age Grade of Onitsha who were in their numbers to pay their last respect to their fallen member.

 

Speaking to the ABS, the President Agbalanze Society of Onitsha Mr Ogbo Okosi and the President Nnebuife/Umuoma age Grade Mr Osita Arinze said they have come to pay their last respect to their member who they described as a jolly good fellow, hardworking and a committed member of their groups until his demise.

The duo advised the family to take solace in the Lord and prayed God to grant his soul eternal rest.

 

On his part, the Head of their kindred Mr Isaac Osakwe said his brother lived a good life worthy of emulation describing him as lover of truth and justice which he said earned him the position of youth leader among his kindred saying that they will surely miss him.

 

His elder Sister’s son Mr Onyebuchi Udegbunam said his relationship with the Late Chike and family was cordial adding that he was a Man of integrity calling on his children to toe their father’s footsteps while his son in law Mr Anselm Okorie, described his father-in-law as a friendly and a jovial man who has no comparison.

The first son of the deceased Mr Tochukwu Morah and his only daughter Mrs Emetam Okorie said their father was a loving and caring man who took good care of them adding that his death has created a big vacuum in the family and promised to uphold his legacies.

 

ABS retirees in company of other members of ABS family Were not left out as they were present to pay their respect.

 

Speaking after presentation some of the retirees Messrs Paul Onwuegbusi and Greg Igwebike said the late Ozomma Chike Morah was a hard-working Engineer when he was in service with the ABS, commending the cordial relationship that existed between them, urging his children to uphold their father’s legacies.

The burial ceremony featured dance by different traditional dance troops while the appearance of masquerades added colour to the ceremony.
