The seven-man delegation from Bayelsa State, who were in Anambra State for peer learning visit of Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency, ANSIPPA, has successfully completed their visit.
The team, during a wrap up interview with the press, described Anambra State as a good learning curve for them.
Sharing their experiences after visiting few legacy projects, the leader of the delegation, who is also the Executive Assistant to Bayelsa State Governor on Policy & Strategy, Dr Patterson Ogon, affirmed that the visit will open more doors for them.
Dr. Ogon, who applauded Anambra State tradition of completing inherited projects from successive administrations and initiated ones in good record time for the use of Ndi Anambra, lauded ANSIPPA for increasing the asset base of the state.
While rating Anambra State hospitality very high with nice ambiance and deep business interest, Dr. Ogon stated that Anambra State Government is building and creating value and environment for people to inherit and enjoy with satisfaction.
For the Managing Director and Chief Executive officer of ANSIPPA, Mr. Mark Okoye, they nurtured the delegation on the legal, enabling registration that supports the agency, challenges and successes of their projects and the synergies they built with different MDAs.
Mr. Okoye added that he also unveiled to their guests, the agency’s three points target this year which according to him are the repositioning of the agency from ANSIPPA to Anambra State Development and Investment Cooperation, ADIC, to enable them to take major infrastructural projects from conceptualization to bankability.
According to Mr Okoye, others are getting master plans for proposed projects like Awka and Onitsha 2.0, Anambra State Rails among others in the first quarter of the year and finalising finances in the second quarter such that before the end of the year, some of them will kick off and finally the replication of investment summit in September this year after engagements in Europe, Asia and America to strengthen partnership and channel of communication with the diaspora.
