The Anglican Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese, Right Reverend Prosper Amah says with absolute trust in God, Christians can overcome challenges and other vicissitudes of life.

 

In a sermon at Saint James Diocesan Church Center Iyiowa Odekpe during a special service to mark the end of the covenant week of the Anglican Diocese of Ogbaru, Right Reverend Amah urged Christians not to allow life challenges to deter them from serving God.

Bishop Amah whose sermon centered on Covenant of all round progress and peace maintained that most battles fought by the faithful is connected to their foundations, as according to him some actions of the parents affect the growth of their children.

 

Bishop Amah who disclosed that the Biblical David was not just the last born, but was also seen as a nobody in the family, yet he was considered a Man after God’s own heart because David obeyed the commands of God in addition to studying the emotions of God’s heart.

The Anglican Bishop of Ogbaru Diocese Right Reverend Amah, who cautioned against idolatry which he said is a major thing that affects God’s emotions, urged the faithful to always do what God desires in order to reap His abundant blessings and Mercy.

 

He charged Christians to always discover their primary purpose in their relationship with God, pointing out that grace and obedience are the two secrets to success.

Right Reverend Amah stressed the need for the children of God to always aspire to make a difference wherever they are by living lives capable of winning souls for Christ in addition to bringing positive changes in the society.

 

He charged those entrusted with positions of trust to always lead with the fear of the Lord warning them against using such positions to intimidate the masses.

Bishop Amah reminded the faithful that goodness and mercy of God await those that follow His footsteps and obey His Commandments, maintaining that 2024 holds great prospects for the people of God.

 

In a remark the Archdeacon of Odekpe Archdeaconry Venerable Toochukwu Ifenna, charged the Faithful to enter into covenant with God, to savour its abundant benefits.

 

The service which was attended by the president of the Women’s Ministry in Ogbaru Diocese Dr Uche Amah, some Diocesan officials, members of various church Organizations, featured anointing of the participants, Thanksgiving by all the Archdeaconries in Ogbaru Diocese as well as strategic prayers.
