Ndigbo have been urged to join hands with the government of the day to develop their culture, which is the way of life and identity of a people.

 

Anambra State Commissioner for Culture, Entertainment and Tourism, Comrade Don Onyenji, who made the call during an ABS Radio programme “Issues”, regretted the impact of Western culture in Igbo land.

 

He however commended Governor Chukwuma Soludo for his efforts in transforming the culture of Ndi Anambra, reason the Governor chooses made in Anambra products, including vehicles, shoes and beverages.

 

Commissioner Onyenji further noted that Anambra State is going back to her root in terms of traditional and cultural practices, and extolled Governor Soludo for implementing Anambra State Burial law.

 

He insisted that Igbos love themselves, justified by the slogan “Be your brother’s keeper”, and appealed to Ndi Igbo to live decent lives and avoid all forms of crime in the interest of the society.
