The Speaker Anambra State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Somtochukwu Udeze, has described the All progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as a unique and united political party which in now distance time will be the desire of many.
Right Honourable Udeze, who spoke during APGA 2024 grassroot mobilization at Atani in Ogbaru Council Area, restated his belief in the progress of Ogbaru Council Area and the spirit of “onye aghana nwanne ya,” which unites the party, even as he commended the efforts of the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul Nwosu, ward leaders, Councilors and APGA stakeholders in the area.
The event, which was hosted by the Anambra State Commissioner for Information, Sir Paul, was aimed at sensitizing their members on the policies and plans of the state government.
The Information Commissioner who spoke on the need for all APGA stakeholders to be alive to their responsibilities, thanked God for bringing them into the new year.
On his part, the APGA State Chairman, Barrister Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, who described the event as a medium to bring APGA faithful together and avail them the opportunity of bonding, called on APGA stakeholders in other areas to emulate Commissioner Nwosu in organizing such event.
He stated his objective which is to develop kindred unit of APGA for smooth dissemination and dispensation of information and palliatives to boost the party’s productivity.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Ogbaru Council Area, Mr. Pascal Aniegbunam, extolled the Soludo administration for giving the council area a sense of belonging, expressed optimism that APGA in the area is moving to greater height.
Ogbara Local Government Chairman of APGA, Pastor Onochie Anibueze, who applauded the Information Commissioner for bringing them together, called on all executive members and leaders of the party in the area to embark on strategic approach to make APGA a model for other political parties.
Chairman of Relief Market Ogbaru, Mr Ndubisi Ochiogu, who commended the good work of Governor Chukwuma Soludo in Ogbaru, including road construction, employment, youth empowerment, among numerous others, called on all to support the current administration to achieve a livable and prosperous Anambra that will benefit everybody.
Commendation by various party leaders, including Chief John Ezeolisa and Mrs. Patricia Obuse, among others, as well as Ogene music display added glamour to the event.
