Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s commitment towards a livable and prosperous future Education sector of the state has been described as second to none.

According to him, within twenty-two Months, the Governor has declared free education, eliminating hidden fees and levies from early childhood to junior secondary school.

 

He said that secondary education has become more accessible than ever, with senior secondary schools’ fees slashed by ninety-eight percent to only five thousand naira.

 

Apart from all these, the president’s administration is set to introduce technology which will be seamlessly integrated into the learning experience to make classrooms more engaging and interactive.

 

Mr Aburime further said that dilapidated schools will be transformed into modern learning spaces conducive to fostering knowledge and creativity while a renewed focus on professional development of teachers would be introduced to restore pride and excellence to the teaching profession.

 

He mentioned that outdated content will be replaced with contemporary topics, preparing students for the challenges and opportunities in the digital age, all to be made possible through monitoring and evaluation system that will be implemented.

 

While calling for Public Community Private Partnership to further boost quality education, the Press Secretary said that communities will be empowered to participate actively in the school management, through clubs of patrons, thereby fostering a sense of ownership and accountability.
