Reactions have continued to trail child molestation in present day society.

Speaking on the recent viral video showing a mother of three who brutalized her thirteen-year-old housekeeper for allegedly touching her child’s private part, and another woman who tried to sell her two sons, Lady Vero Osanakpo of Mount Olive Group of Schools described such acts as the peak of callousness and crimes against humanity, and pointed out that every child has a right to protection, proper care and education.

She attributed the women’s behaviour to demonic influence, and advised mothers to seek the face God at all times to avoid such criminality, just as she advised that governments should make offenders face consequences of their actions to serve as deterrent to others.

She however called for regular seminar to educate and assist women in building peaceful and Godly families.

On her part, a lecturer at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, Associate Professor Rosemary Anazodo, who regretted that mothers nowadays are too busy to attend to their children, urged mothers to take the responsibility of proper training of their children seriously and avoid using house helps as robots in doing their chores.

She blamed the incessant abuse of minors to lack of fear of God, and called on parents to show love to other children, as well as care for them; just like their own children, while suggesting capital punishment for culprits.
