The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, Mr. Aderemi Adeoye has reaffirmed his readiness to fully support All for Women Initiative Nigeria, A-WIN ahead of its upcoming Summit with the Theme: “Gear Up Women, Aspire, Win”.
Mr. Adeoye gave the assurance when a delegation of A-WIN paid him a courtesy visit at the Command headquarters in Awka.
The Police Commissioner while receiving the delegation appreciated them for their partnership and support over the years, stressed the need for women empowerment.
He assured the group of his support to achieve her drive and lofty vision of empowerment of women and the girl-child for emancipation and to reduce the incidence of gender and child abuse in the country.
Earlier, the Founder of A-WIN, Mrs Stella Igboka who frowned at the status some women have been placed in the society, which has greatly contributed to their exposure to social vices, extolled the doggedness of Mr. Adeoye in crime fighting.
