The Traditional ruler of Umueri, in Anambra East Local Government Area, Igwe Benneth Emeka has thrown his weight behind a non-governmental organisation, All for Women Initiative Nigeria, A-WIN, in their vision to better the lives of women and girl children in the country.

The Umueri monarch made the commitment when he received in audience a delegation of the organization who are in the state ahead of the 2024 International Women Day celebration.

Welcoming his guests, Igwe Emeka who eulogized the organisation for their interests in touching and impacting lives; especially the voiceless ones, acknowledged the important role women play in any society, and advised them not to leave any one behind, especially their husbands, who are the immediate catalysts for the change that will escalate the crusade of their association.

 

He assured them of his continuous support to all positive initiatives towards uplifting the standards of women and girl children.

Presenting an invitation for the Anambra Summit to the monarch, the President of the organization, Comrade Stella Igboka, revealed that the purpose of the visit was to galvanize support and resources towards the course of womanhood.

The A-WIN President invited Igwe Emeka as the Royal father of the day during their strategic and crucial summit scheduled to hold in Anambra State with the Theme: “Gear Up, Aspire and Win”, and as part of their efforts in commemorating this year’s International Women Day celebration.
