The Transition Committee Chairman of Ekwusigo Local Government Area, Mr Chimezie Obi, says Governor Chukwuma Soludo places high premium on health care delivery.
Speaking at Ozubulu, the headquarters of Ekwusigo Local Government Area when he enrolled all the security men in the local government area in the Anambra State Health Insurance Scheme, Mr Obi described the scheme as a well thought out health programme of the Anambra State Government aimed at giving the people of Anambra State efficient, effective, accessible and affordable healthcare services
He charged the people of Anambra State to key into the Anambra Health Insurance Scheme in order to benefit from numerous healthcare merits of the scheme.
Mr Obi, while commending Governor Soludo for all his developmental strides across all sectors of the state economy, especially in revamping healthcare facilities across the three hundred and twenty-six electoral wards in the state, ongoing provision of public water supply, functional education; with the recruitment of over five thousand teachers, recruitment of more than three hundred health personnel for hospitals across Anambra State, among others, charged the people of Anambra State to be alive to their responsibilities, especially in the area of payment of government approved tax and levies to enable the government continue to serve them better.
Mr Obi maintained that all the people-oriented programmes and policies of the Soludo administration will be localized in Ekwusigo Local Government area for the benefit of the people of the area.
He used the opportunity to call on the people of Anambra State to always protect government facilities in their various areas against vandalization.
